MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that can work wonders for your skin. Did you know that from our mid-20s, we start losing 1% of our collagen each year. Fast forward to 30/40, and the collagen levels take a nosedive, leaving us with wrinkles, saggy skin, and that tired look.
This technique uses a device equipped with fine needles to create tiny punctures on your skin's surface. These micro-injuries activate your body's natural healing process, jumpstarting the production of fresh collagen and elastin fibres which are the key ingredients for maintaining youthful, firm, and smooth skin. We use medical grade Italian meotherapy serums in conjunction with the Microneedling. It is a 2-pronged approach, so you get the benefit of Microneedling as well as the specific serums that are used to target concerns such as acne, scarring, pigmentation, fine lines, lifting and firming.
How Microneedling Works:
The tiny punctures open the door for our medical grade mesotherapy serums as well as your skincare products to work their magic. By enhancing absorption, these serums can penetrate deeper into your skin's layers, targeting specific concerns with precision.
A Versatile Solution:
Microneedling is a go-to solution for a range of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, uneven texture, and enlarged pores. It's versatile enough to be applied on various body areas, from your face and neck to your décolletage, hands and even body.
What to Expect:
After the procedure, expect some mild redness and possibly minor swelling, which typically subsides within a few days. It's not uncommon to see a small amount of blood during microneedling – it's all part of the process.
Patience Pays Off:
To achieve optimal results, multiple microneedling sessions are usually recommended. Remember, collagen production takes time, and the number of sessions depends on your individual needs and desired outcomes.
In Summary:
Microneedling is a sought-after aesthetic treatment, offering an effective way to improve skin texture, revitalise your complexion, and recapture a more youthful appearance. Embrace this non-surgical, non-ablative option for skin rejuvenation and unlock your skin's full potential.
Once optimal results are achieved, a maintenance session performed every 6 – 12 months is recommended.
Microneedling can be combined with dermaplaning to achieve even better results.
